Conservation under Construction
Compared with last year, the BSBCC looks somewhat like a building site at the moment. The reason for this hurried construction is that government funding is going to be cut considerably soon and so there is a desperate need to get paying visitors in a.s.a.p.. Financial help is needed more than ever now as the number of bears increases. Could you help?
Hopefully, the sooner this is completed, the sooner we’ll be able to start getting bears released into the wild, where they belong. Bears at the BSBCC have superb conditions, husbandry and medical care, but these are wild animals, not pets, and deserve to have a chance at being wild bears once more. With any luck the revenue generated from when we get visitors in will help get the ball rolling towards the accomplishment of this ultimate aim.
